For Newcastle, it's more than a football match.
It's the reward for a season built on resilience, belief and an unwavering commitment to the jersey.
Just twelve months after finishing at the bottom of the ladder, the Knights have delivered one of the NRL's great comeback stories. Their preliminary final victory over Penrith showcased everything that has defined this team in 2026: courage under pressure, relentless defence and a refusal to back down when the odds were against them.
Those qualities resonate strongly with our own values of Community, Commitment, Integrity and Agility. More importantly, they reflect the spirit of the city we proudly call home.
Across Newcastle and the Hunter, Grand Final fever is impossible to miss. Red and blue flags line shopfronts. Jerseys fill workplaces. Conversations inevitably turn to Sunday night's decider.
Our Newcastle office has joined the celebration, with Grand Final displays transforming our windows and drawing plenty of attention from local supporters. Members of the New Era team will also be cheering on the Knights at the club's final open training session before the biggest game of the season.
This week belongs to the players, the fans and a community that has waited a generation for this moment.
The Newcastle Knights have united a city, inspired a region and given supporters memories that will last well beyond the final siren.
Now they have the chance to make history.
