New Era Technology has been a strategic partner since 2018, primarily supporting the client’s operations across the United States, while also extending our services to offices in Spain, Dubai, the UK, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and other key locations.

Background

New Era Technology currently supports over 300 Cisco-based devices across the client’s network. Our engagement began in 2018 managing their full Cisco estate on their own Client-Hosted Infrastructure.  Later, New Era Technology fully managed a critical migration project; transitioning the client from their legacy CHI (Client-Hosted Infrastructure) environment to a modern, cloud-based Cisco Control Hub infrastructure. This migration was essential for improving scalability, security, and efficiency across the client’s video and AV estate.

To ensure seamless operations, we provided a fully dedicated service manager available 24/7. Our team has since played a crucial role in managing the entire video conferencing and AV infrastructure, including handling escalations to third-party vendors and coordinating with local support teams.

Current Situation & Ongoing Support

As the client’s needs evolved, New Era Technology has continued to be at the forefront of their digital transformation journey. We are currently assisting in another strategic migration; moving their key Cisco devices into Cisco MTR mode and integrating it within a Microsoft ecosystem. This transition enables enhanced interoperability, streamlined collaboration, and improved security across their global operations:

• Interoperability – Cisco devices working seamlessly with Microsoft Teams, improving cross-platform collaboration.
• Cloud Management – Easier device monitoring, troubleshooting, and updates via Cisco Control Hub and Microsoft Pro Portal.

• Hybrid Flexibility – Allows certain locations to maintain local control while benefiting from centralized cloud management.

A good example of hybrid flexibility is our recently developed tailored hybrid solution for the client’s office in Japan. The local team required expert consultation on system upgrades and vulnerability management while maintaining some level of internal control. Our solution ensured they received specialised support while preserving their autonomy in system management.
