Detailed Information:
We will be performing upgrade works to the critical cooling infrastructure throughout the DC to proactively upgrade aging infrastructure, as well as to improve capacity, reliability and efficiency of the facility.

This involves proactive replacement of aging hardware and upgrades of all cooling infrastructure, related monitoring and supporting systems.

Impact to customers:
For the period stated on the 4th of October, customer access to racks in DC1 will not be possible due to lifted floor tiles and impeded access to racks while the final CRAC unit is replaced. During the replacement, no impact is expected to equipment as the remaining CRAC units will be operational throughout. Fire suppression systems may be inoperative for short periods to ensure they are not accidentally triggered.

Remote hands will continue to be available if required.

Throughout October and November, some cooling infrastructure may operate with reduced redundancy. Some areas of the DC including car parking may have access impeded during this time due to necessary construction works. At any time that works may impact the ability for a customer to access equipment, a further notification will be provided. 
Every effort is being made to ensure that these changes have no impact to customer equipment, and additional temporary cooling infrastructure will be installed for the duration of the change.

Unless you deem it necessary to enact a risk mitigation process, no direct action is required from you.
