Careers

  • Material Manager

    Summary:

    The Material Manager is responsible for planning and scheduling equipment deliveries on time to client sites.

    Primary Duties:

    The Material Manager shall be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    • Work with Project Managers and Coordinators to schedule equipment deliveries and resolve any issues
    • Planning and scheduling equipment deliveries
    • Prompt delivery of equipment for project installations
    • Pick and stage equipment for projects
    • Supervise company delivery driver
    • Ensure inventory accuracy of all shipments that deliver to client sites
    • Coordinating with project management team
    • Receiving inventory and supplies and dispersing to proper locations
    • Safe operation of box truck and vans
    • Assist in physical inventory
    • Shipping orders via UPS and other carriers
    • Responsible for inventory control and assisting in physical inventory
    • Monitor installation hardware and supplies
    • Completing all required paperwork in a clear prompt fashion
    • Create and enhance standard operating procedures
    • Responsible for warehouse cleanliness and professional appearance
    • Maintain completed paperwork and delivery records
    • Fork lift certification must be obtained within 14 days of start
    • Safe use of ladders and some heavy lifting
    • Other duties as deemed necessary by management

    Competency:

    • Must be proficient using a variety of computer system interfaces including RF barcode scan guns.
    • Must have excellent organization skills.
    • Must have proven multitasking skills and can work under extreme pressures.
    • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Experience:

    • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a distribution environment

    Expected Hours of Work:

    • Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, required work hours may vary depending on business needs. Overtime is possible.

    Travel:

    • Less than 5% travel required.
  • Service Technician

    Primary Duties:

    • Work to achieve 100% customer satisfaction 100% of the time
    • Perform service calls, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with A/V systems
    • Perform preventative maintenance of contracted systems
    • Load and test control code
    • Load and tweak DSP files
    • QA systems after performing work
    • Train clients on use of A/V systems
    • Assist in systems installation when necessary
    • Crimp, solder, wire pull, label, terminate, and other technical tasks associated with A/V systems
    • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
    • Resolve all customer service issues with management
    • Maintain all associated paperwork in a timely manner (timesheet, expenses, etc.)
    • Follow system drawings and wiring details
    • Submit markups when needed
    • Van inventory, maintenance and appearance
    • Full compliance with company’s policies and procedures
    • Other duties as deemed necessary by management

    Competency:

    • Strong client and service focused mindset, demonstrate excellent listening skills and the ability to understand customer issues
    • Understanding of how A/V systems function, and how to diagnose and resolve problems within those systems
    • An ability to use discretion and good judgment with regard to sensitive or confidential information
    • Proficient with computers, including audiovisual applications (ClearOne, AMX, Crestron, Polycom, etc.)
    • Must have a clean driving record
    • Ability to work flexible hours and limited travel

    Experience:

    • A minimum of three years of related Audio Visual experience and an InfoComm CTS designation or significant progress towards it

    Required Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent

    Language Skills:

    • English

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to drive a company van to client sites
    • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis
    • Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding and lifts
    • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects

    • Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand

    Expected Work Environment:

    • New Era Technology office, warehouse and client sites

    Expected Hours of Work:

    • Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Required work hours may vary depending on business needs
    • Possible overtime
    • Ability to work flexible hours is required

    Travel:

    • 90% travel required to client sites within two hours
    • 10% travel to client sites further away with possible overnight stays
  • Field Technician

    Summary:

    • Technicians are responsible for configuration, testing and QA of AV and multimedia systems

    Primary Duties:

    • Work to achieve 100% customer satisfaction 100% of the time
    • Troubleshoot and repair newly installed and existing custom audiovisual and multimedia systems
    • Troubleshoot and resolve control systems programming issues
    • Load and test control code
    • Load, write and tweak dsp files
    • Write MLC configurable systems, load and test QA systems after performing work
    • Train clients on use of A/V systems
    • Obtain CTS designation
    • Assist in systems installation when necessary
    • Crimp, solder, wire pull, label, terminate, and other technical tasks associated with A/V systems
    • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
    • Resolve all customer service issues with management
    • Maintain all associated paperwork in a timely manner (timesheet, expenses, etc)
    • Follow system drawings and wiring details

  • Field Installer

    Summary:

    • The field installer will work with the production team to remove and install audiovisual equipment for clients.

    Primary Duties:

    • Custom audiovisual installations
    • Wire pulling and termination
    • Equipment installation and removal when necessary
    • Install display (projector/flat panel), screen and check for simple functionality
    • Labeling all wire and equipment
    • Use hand and power tools
    • Site cleanup
    • Safe use of ladders, scaffolding and lifts
    • Lift heavy and bulky equipment
    • Use CAD drawings and blueprints
    • Giving excellent customer service and having a professional attitude

    General Duties:

    • Timely submission of all required paperwork
    • An ability to use discretion and good judgment with regard to sensitive or confidential information
    • Full compliance with company’s policies and procedures
    • Work to achieve 100% customer satisfaction 100% of the time
