Amplifying the NFL’s Leading Stadium

Lucas Oil Stadium is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility with a retractable roof. Seating over 67,000 fans and home to the Indianapolis Colts, the facility is flexible in design to accommodate events ranging from NFL Football, NCAA basketball, concerts, conventions and more. The project was awarded to New Era Technology to design and deliver a state-of-the-art sound system for the world-class facility.

New Era installed over four thousand speakers and integrated 150+ interface screens that contain the controls ranging from global to very granular control of the audio system. The highly advanced audio system consisted of eight audio arrays around the edge of the field and one center grouping of six arrays. The Center Cluster, located at the 50 yard-line, contains around 26,000 pounds of complete audio equipment. The total audio power for the facility is approximately 1,100,000 watts.
