Challenge
Define and implement integrated technological systems to heighten the safety of MGH staff, patients, and visitors for a 100-year old building with 14 multi-site facilities.
Solution
An extensive 491-page security assessment was provided to take a holistic view to help identify security gaps and provide a guided technology roadmap for Marion General. This review resulted in integrating technology systems that addressed both short and long-term goals. Solutions included asset tracking, door monitoring technology, IP security cameras, Emergency Blue phones, and access control. The systems provided have not only provided a positive and secure atmosphere but also provide powerful learning opportunities to train staff through the use of cameras provided.
