Imagine a video management system (VMS) that does more than playing back a recorded video based on a recording schedule or basic motion event. The next generation VMS will do just that thanks to the integration of Intelligent AI into the video analytics software.

Advanced Video Analytics will provide the ability for events to be recorded or searched based on motion action, motion direction, abnormal motion activity, or behavioral-based actions. These events can be recorded, and/or an alert can be triggered when these analytics are identified to notify the appropriate parties.

Some video analytics examples of these types of events include:

Behavioral – Fights, Slip and Fall, Shop Lifting

Through skeletal extraction AI, these types of events can be identified, and video evidence can be recorded. This also includes alerts via an application, and email or texts can be sent.

Incorrect Direction

An example includes vehicles that go against the posted flow of traffic.  The details can be as granular as the color of the vehicle in which certain colors are allowed one direction, but other colors are not allowed.

Intelligent Motion Detection

The ability to detect uncommon motion events.  Uncommon motion events are events that deviate from the ‘normal’ for a specific view. For example, a hallway in which traffic generally will take a left down a hallway, whereas an uncommon motion event is when traffic flows right.
