ICT Education specialists, New Era Technology, have announced they are the King’s Lions’ Rugby Club principal partner for 2022. The sponsorship will see New Era support the Dunedin based Lions’ Rugby Club and help maintain an environment where the School’s young people are encouraged to be the best they can be, on and off the field.

New Era Technology is one of the largest ICT  providers for schools in  New Zealand, providing reliable and innovative technology solutions that empower a new generation of teaching and learning. King’s High School is a long-standing customer of New Era and approached the Company with the Sponsorship opportunity.

CEO of New Era Technology New Zealand, Greg Strachan, expressed his delight in the partnership as it’s the first time they have supported the community in this way.

“We believe the sponsorship is a great way to support and engage with a fantastic customer and their community, assisting the young rugby stars of the future,” says Strachan.

“King’s High School and New Era, although having a commercial relationship, benefit from a true partnership model that benefits both organisations. The King’s Rugby sponsorship provides the school with funding for rugby gear and resources to help ensure the players and coaches are well prepared for success. While New Era gets to give back to the community and support our customers in a unique way.”

Rugby has been part of King’s High School since its inception in 1936. The King’s Lions’ Rugby Club’s playing philosophy is to attack using speed and skill, with or without the ball. This philosophy has been the catalyst for producing 13 All Blacks and numerous Otago players, along with others who have represented other countries during the past 84 years.

Glenn Dickson, The director of sports at King’s High School, says,
