The beginning of Covid prompted an accelerated rollout of MS Teams for Vitality. As Vitality
embarked on a hybrid approach to the workplace, it instructed New Era Technology to look at hybrid meeting rooms to improve the experience and improve collaboration between office and home-based workers.
Vitality requested New Era Technology’s services to provide meeting spaces with Microsoft Teams Room solutions for collaboration in line with their hybrid working initiative.
Vitality offers health insurance, life insurance, car insurance and investments that reward its members for making positive lifestyle choices. Looking for a more experience New Era Technology evaluated the market with Vitality to look at several certified native room systems; the Native Microsoft Teams Room solutions were then implemented in 43 rooms across Vitality offices in Stockport, Bournemouth and London, including several types of meeting rooms:
- Small huddle rooms
- Medium rooms
- Large integrated rooms
New Era followed a process of discovery that resulted in a plan for Vitality’s return to office strategy. The approach was to design, implement, support the end-to-end solution. New Era also looked to understand the end-user journeys, workflows, and expectations in order to support and match the correct technology to meet end-user needs and business outcomes. For the smaller rooms an appropriate camera was installed alongside Audio Visual technology and dedicated Microsoft Teams certified meeting room equipment, whilst larger rooms required a more integrated AV approach with installed ceiling microphones, speaker technology and tracking cameras. All of this was delivered coupled with New Era’s care support agreement that includes:
- Next day on-site engineering and technical support for AV / video conferencing systems and peripherals
- Problem diagnosis and resolution
- Advanced parts replacement of faulty components
- International access to our helpdesk 24/7

hybrid working across the globe, providing improved connectivity between office-based and remote
