The National School Dog Alliance is hosting the UK School Dog of the Year Award 2025, celebrating exceptional canines that positively impact school communities.
To participate, schools are invited to submit an entry detailing their dog’s role, the decision to introduce a dog, its impact on pupils, and measures taken to ensure the dog’s well-being.
Why not utilise DB Primary, our online learning platform, to craft and share your entries for this competition!
The platform offers a safe and engaging environment where students can develop their writing skills. Features such as blogs and forums enable students to collaborate, share drafts, and provide feedback to peers, fostering a sense of community and enhancing their communication abilities. Additionally, DB Primary’s e-safety content ensures that students learn to navigate online interactions responsibly.
The competition, and the work by The National School Dog Alliance is designed to support and offer guidance to schools introducing and working with therapy dogs. They ensure that both teachers, pupils, and of course, the dogs are supported to create the best outcomes for all involved.
The winning school will receive a special award, a feature in a national publication, and a fantastic prize pack for the dog!
