Design, Implementation and Support for Microsoft Teams Rooms in a New Cutting-Edge Office Environment
It’s always great when we get invited back into a clients’ space to help them further modernise and improve their offices.
Vitality first became a New Era customer back in 2021. In our initial project with them, we helped to improve collaboration between remote and in-office employees by implementing and managing hybrid meeting rooms across multiple locations in Stockport, Bournemouth, and London.
Background
Vitality presented us with an exciting challenge of transforming four floors of empty office space into a technologically advanced workspace that promotes collaboration and supports their hybrid work model.
We worked alongside the main construction contractor, Peldon Rose to seamlessly integrate our bespoke AV design and implement different Microsoft Teams Rooms into the build.
The project included the creation of bookable Microsoft Teams Rooms, as well as a bespoke design for a versatile event space; tailored and built in line with Vitality’s own standards, which we helped to define. Lastly, we built and implemented large AV screens into key communal areas to facilitate digital engagement and wayfinding solutions.
To be cost-effective and sustainable, we decommissioned equipment within their previous Marshall Point, Bournemouth Head Office and incorporated some of the existing technology hardware into the new building.
Understanding Vitality’s Objectives
As always, our approach involves a comprehensive assessment to gain a thorough understanding of end-user journeys, workflows, and expectations to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that align with business objectives.
We looked at each individual space before delivering a full AV Package incorporating Block Schematics, Setting Out and elevation plans into the M&E drawings. These drawings also included the appropriate Audio Visual technology and dedicated Microsoft Teams certified meeting room equipment.
As per the scope, by leveraging existing equipment, we devised solutions that seamlessly integrated new and older technologies to meet the client’s requirements perfectly and sustainably.
Implementation of Microsoft Teams Rooms
We designed and installed bookable and non-bookable Microsoft Teams Rooms, each comprising a mix of the best suited technology to achieve the optimal acoustic and user experience, elevating the whole collaboration experience. Recognising the demand for flexible solutions in the new era of hybrid working and hot desking, we designed meeting rooms that could adapt to varying needs.
Having just finished a move into the prestigious 80 Strand Offices in London, New Era Technology has now completed another high profile project with Vitality.
Working from a completely blank canvas, we were tasked with designing, implementing and managing multiple video collaboration spaces, including the concept creation for a brand new event space . The design and build of this new office location followed the RIBA Plan of Work Stages to now delivering BAU support services post handover.
Bespoke event space
We worked closely with Vitality to gain a clear under standing of the proposed use cases for a new video-enabled event space, including; the types of events, how they want to use the space and what technology was needed to support this.
From this, the New Era design specialists were able to create a fully bespoke scope of work for this space. This specially designed space, complete with a bespoke AV lectern allows for larger presentations and can easily be switched to cater to different large hybrid in-person and remote event types.
Digital Signage and Wayfinding
We also installed large AV screens in various communal areas. These can be used to display different types of digital engagement content as well as maps, providing a cohesive journey for each and ever y employee navigating the building.
Ongoing Support and Management
We also provide support as part of our managed services, delivering access to an experienced 24/7/365 ITIL service desk and support technicians, with engineers dispatched as needed as part of the maintenance SLA.

Conclusion
We are seeing a growing trend for customers who need versatile video spaces to support modern work and an increase in the need for bespoke event spaces and multifunctional / divisible rooms. Vitality have recognised this need and built a modern and flexible office space, that will enable their workforce to work seamlessly between home and in-office.
